Hermod rides to Hel

Been a long while since I had this idea in mind and in fact the base design, the GR - 2 Sleipnir was made with the solely purpose of bring to live this skin. That's why it has 8 coils :)

The story of Hermod ridding to hel on Sleipnir's back is so far my favorite from the asatru mithology. After the "accidental" death of Baldur, the gods send Hermod in a quest to Hel to beg the goddess of the underworld, Hela, to let Baldur be free, since his death would bring Ragnarok. On one side we have the Aesir view of the whole matter, they love Baldur and if he dies everything will end on apocalypse. On the Jotnar side, Thor and Odin killed many of Loki's kin, even when they were bloodsworn brothers. Makes you wonder if maybe all the tragedy could have been avoided by being open to each other since as I said Loki and Odin were really good friends.

I really lean into this tale because even when everything seems lost Hermod doesn't give up and that siblings love is what I tried to convey on this skin design. Altho I understand the motivations of Loki to do what he did I wish things were diferent. Thanks for watching.
