Geratta 1893 - Original design & skins

Most my hard surface friends design scifi stuff and I get it shit's cool but I'm more into cowboys, 1800's and such. Been playing HUNT SHOWDOWN more hours than I feel comfortable saying publicly and at this point I felt like I HAD TO desing a rifle that could fit in the game. And of course, it has to be CLASSIC long ammo/bolt action. No other way around. So for the Geratta (I heard someone saying "esagerata" in italian but I just heard gerata, so I took it for me, and it kinda fits the gun also so we're winning!) I wanted the size of the Lebel with the sexy shapes of the late finnish Mosin Nagant variants. The Geratta is the end product of a series of designs I've been doing, mostly skins of guns that appears in HUNT SHOWDOWN. For the last one I wanted to make my own weapon and for this task I researched the topic deeply during three weeks. If you go to Forgotten weapons half of every video views are mine, forreal. Decided also to go with Marksman since I was playing Lebel Marksman a lot, and it's pretty dope. Marksman is king.

I also designed skins for it! Inspired by afghans jezails, a gun I looked a lot while designing this one. Afghans were great snipers and this skins are my tribute to this part of story.

90% of the model was made using ConjureSDF as I wanted to challenge myself and really learn the addon, I highly recommend it!!

PD: I KNOW THE BOLT IS QUITE UNCOMFORTABLE, but the "people who designed this rifle in the 1890's" didn't noticed this fact until way later.

One morning Mahnaz woke up decided to leave the Kandahar mountains, she grabbed Lailuma and Djyinnuna from the family arsenal. three moons later she was at Istambul, ready to depature towards Lousiana and beyond.
